We are proud to announce that Fitter Strength team member Binita Bhutoria has become the first Indian woman to achieve the Candiate for Master of Sport Rank in the 1 hour marathon under the IKMF ranking system in the V1 category in Long Cycle. She is also the first woman CMS in 1 hour marathon in Asia.
To achieve rank, Binita needed to perform a minimum of 500 reps in 1 hour with a 12 kgs kettlebell. She managed to get 512 reps in the end, while also fulfilling the requirement of surviving the full 1 hour with the kettlebell.
On behalf of the Fitter Strength community we congratulate this fantastic and hard working athlete for achieving this tough rank, and taking kettlebell sport to new heights in the country, while being an inspiration to fellow women lifters in India. A big congratulations also to her coach Samrat Sen for guiding her to such success in less than a year of working with her!
We look forward to more inspiring performances from Binita in the future, and wish her the very best!
