Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Is any prior kettlebell lifting experience necessary?
A. While prior kettlebell lifting experience can be helpful, it is by no means a necessity to attend a KTCC. We begin by teaching from the very basic points and ensure that even the first time kettlebell users lift safely.
Q. What else do you cover in the course besides kettlebell training?
A. We teach some very basic mobility drills as an assistance to kb training and for general health. However, on the whole, this course is more than 95% about kettlebell training and going into the finer details of kb lifting, and not diluting it by adding a lot of non kettlebell stuff.
Q. What happens if I cannot clear the practical assessment during the course?
A. If you are unable to clear the practical assessment carried out during the course, then you will be issued a certificate of participation at the end of the course and will have upto a year's time from the day of the assessment to retry and upgrade to a trainer's certificate. You can retry by sending in a video submission, or do the assessment infront of the local KTCC organizer/host. There is no extra fees for retrying.
Q. Is it mandatory to do the test, even if I am not looking to become a trainer?
A. You can attend a KTCC and learn kb lifting without doing the practical assessment. In that case, you will be given a certificate of participation and not a trainer's certificate.
