As a lifetime follower of strength training, Arnav Sarkar began training others initially as a hobby,
based on the knowledge and experience that he had gained from his own training and research.
After doing it as a hobby for sometime, he decided to go at it professionally in 2006. He began by
successfully clearing the Gym Instructor course from the American Council on Exercise (ACE), and
then started training at a gym. After spending sometime training people professionally he felt that
the fitness industry in India might not be the best career option, and thus began doing an MBA course.
However, destiny would have it otherwise, and Arnav soon realized his real calling and quit his MBA course
to return to the fitness industry in 2010.
In 2010, he also started training with kettlebells, and has discovered the great benefits that can be
achieved by training with this wonderful tool. He trained with it for a year and then cleared the IKFF- CKT
level one course in 2011 under the coaching of Steve Cotter. Since attending the IKFF course, he has used
kettlebells as his main training tool and has helped others to also reap the many benefits that kettlebell
training has to offer.
In 2013, after training with kettlebells for 3 full years, Arnav began the Kettlebell Trainer Certification Course
in November 2013. He used all his knowledge to help other trainers/fitness enthusiasts to use this great
training tool to improve their own as well as their client's health and fitness levels.
In March 2014, Arnav stepped onstage in a Girevoy Sport competition for the very first time and competed
with 32 kgs kettlebells. He won in his category and went onto create 2 then Asian records during the competition, and also became the first ever Indian to compete in 32 kgs biathlon.
